I discovered minor planet 2001 TF257 on 2007 Feb. 1 while searching NEAT images taken at Mt. Palomar on 2001 Oct. 8. MPC assigned it by permanent number 182 592 in 2008 April. I decided to named my first numbered asteroid from NEAT images after my wife Jolana.

I found asteroid 2002 TB382 on 2007 Dec. 28 searching NEAT images from 2002 Oct. 9. In 4 months time, in April 2008 it got permanent number. Marco Langbroek came first to my mind when I was thinking about person to name asteroid after. It was Marco Langbroek who introduced me SkyMorph archive and his guide how to search for new asteroids was very helpful in the beginnings.

Marco Langbroek (b. 1970) is a Dutch arcaeologist and amateur astronomer whose
main interests lie in meteor astronomy. He is an avid meteor observer, active
within the Dutch Meteor Society. The name was suggested by S. Kürti.

I discovered asteroid with provisional designation 2001 TE257 on 2006 Dec. 28 on NEAT images from 2001 Oct. 10. MPC assigned it with permanent number in November 2008. I suggested name Nové Zámky for this minor planet after the town, where I live.

Nové Zámky is a modern town and district center in southern Slovakia.
In the sixteenth century a modern fortress was built there against the Ottoman
Turks. The town was the birthplace of the photographer Lucien Aigner and is home
to Stefan Kürti, who measured the first positions of this minor planet.

I detected asteroid 2002 QR122 2007 Nov. 27. on NEAT images from 2002 Aug. 20. In May 2009 it received permanent number. I suggested to name it after Slovak astronomer Štefan Gajdoš on the occassion of his 50th birthday.

Stefan Gajdos (b. 1959) is a Slovak astronomer and lecturer at the Comenius University in Bratislava. He is involved in photometry and astrometry of minor planets and comets at the Modra Observatory, where his discoveries include one near-earth object. He is known as a popularizer of astronomy.

Astrophysicist Zsigmond Bödök (1957-2010) was the author of a series of popular books about the history of science and astronomy. He founded the amateur astronomy association Trifid in Dunajska Streda, Southern Slovakia.

Rudolf Magyarics (b. 1960) is a friend of Stefan Kürti, who discovered and measured the early positions of this minor planet. They used to observe the Perseid meteor shower together during their high-school studies.

(213637) Lemarchal = 2002 QM125 Pop-rock singer Grégory Jean-Paul Lemarchal (1983-2007) won the French version of Star Academy TV show and became very popular afterward. In 2006 he was honored as "breakthrough artist of the year" at the NRJ Music Awards. He died of complications from cystic fibrosis. The name was suggested by S. Kürti.

Ján Popluhár (1935-2011) was a Slovak football player. A member of the Czechoslovakia team at the 1962 World Cup, he played in the final against Brazil. On Jan 9, 2010 I discovered my first asteroid via remotely operated iTelescope Observatory in New Mexico. Later I managed to find precovery positions for this object from 2001 and 2002 in SkyMorph archive. Thanks to this it received the permanent number very quickly after the discoveryin March 2011. I named this minor planet after my daughter Kristine.

I found previously unknown minor planet 2002 CS316 while checking archival NEAT images from 2002 Feb 6 on 2010 Dec 12. Minor Planet Center numbered it in April 2011. I decided to name it after my friend Tibor Csörgei, amateur astronomer, who along with a small group of enthusiasts managed to build small observastory in Southern Slovakia.

During my search of SkyMorph images taken on 2002 Oct 9, I found unknown object designated as 2002 TM382 on 2008 Jan 12. After subsequent observations from big surveys it was numbered in September 2011. I proposed to name it in honor of Tibor Mézes, the longtime head of Astronomical Club in Nové Zámky in occasion of his 70th birthday.

I found asteroid 2001 TD259 on archival NEAT images on October 6, 2008 and it got permanent number in September 2011. I proposed to name it after Slovak writer Dominik Tatarka on the occasion of centenary of his birth. Tatarka refused the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1968, his works were removed from libraries, he was forbidden from publishing and condemned to isolation.

On Jan 10, 2010 I discovered new asteroid via remotely operated iTelescope Observatory in New Mexico. Later it was linked to observations from 1993, 2002 and 2009. Thanks to this it received the permanent number very quickly after its discovery in August 2012. I named this minor planet after my friend and member of Astronomy Club in Nove Zamky, who passed away 1 year ago.

On Feb 6, 2010 I discovered my third asteroid via remotely operated iTelescope Observatory in New Mexico. As it was later observed with several professional observatories and also from spacecraft WISE it received permanent number in two years from its discovery in January 2013. I named this minor planet after Frech pop singer Nolwenn Leroy.

I found this asteroid with K. Sárneczky during our observation session at Piszkéstető Observatory on 2013 Jan. 30. It was observed then 3 years in a row, so it got permanent number as our first common discovery. We named it after Hungarian poet Lajos Kasssák, who was born in Nové Zámky, Slovakia.

Vladimír Bahýl (b. 1948), Associate Professor Emeritus at
the Technical University in Zvolen, constructed a computed tomography scanner
used in dendrology. As an amateur astronomer he is a dedicated observer of
variable stars, asteroids and meteors. He built his own observatory named
after his granddaughter, Julia.
